Do you know how possible it would be to work in Beauty PR in San Francisco? I want to move there (currently in NY) but I think I would probably have to switch industries because of the lack of fashion/beauty offices over there.

Sephora, Benefit Cosmetics, and a few other brands are headquartered in San Fran, so don’t give up just yet! Do your homework, research companies and jobs out there, and sne Doug your resume. Put some effort into your search before you make the industry switch. Moving in and of itself is always stressful, so good luck!
